About me

I am Sean MacIsaac. I have been drawing ever since I can remember. I have been told that I was drawing since I was 2 years old. All of my life I have been creating characters. I love drawing and I love 3D modeling. Characters are my love and they keep pouring out of me.

I'm married to a wonderful woman; her name is Lori. We have a daughter; her name is Wylla. I'm originaly from Ottawa, but have lived in a few places in Canada: Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Currently, I live in Stouffville, a medium sized town that used to be a small one. It's a nice place.

About How I work:

First I sketch a character on paper. Then I try to think about who he is, how he would dress, how he feels, how he acts and how he would affect people around him. Then I create the name. Once I get the name, I know I have a character. I then design a character sheet in Photoshop using my Wacom Tablet. Things start to shift and change as I nail down who the character is before I start the modeling process. As I bring the character into 3D, I have a character that is already 33% done. The rest is pulling and pushing points, taking away, adding certain features and modifying things that may not work in 3D. Then the fun part starts! I texture him and see my character come to life. I like it when people look at my character and say "gross" or "cool". I really like getting a reaction out of people.

Inspiration:

Comic books, games and movies inspire me. I get inspiration from various visual media, such as other artists, nature and people.

Goal:

My goal is to create and texture character models for video games or movies. I like working in teams as well as on my own.
